1) What is Aperture?
Aperture is just another way of saying “Depth of Field”. This means how far you want to focus on a certain object that you want a photo of, or how close you want to get to the object you want to capture also.
2) What is Shutter Speed? Shutter Speed is how fast you want to take your pictures. Most people use shutter speeds for sports photos. If you are trying to capture something that requires some object moving quickly, then you would use shutter speed to be able to catch it.
3) What is ISO? ISO is how focused you want your photo to be. It can be grainy and the sensitivity to light settings.

1) What do photographers do? Photographers take and preserve images that paint a picture, tell a story, and record an event.
2) What is a work environment? The work environment for a photographer is whatever they are trying to capture. If they are trying to capture a flower, their work space might be a field, or a bush in a yard. If it is a bird, it may be a tree or near a body of water.
3) How many photographers are employed? In 2008, the number of photographers employed was 152,000. It is estimated that by the year 2018 there will be 169,500 photographers employed.
4) What training is important qualifications? Employers usually hire people that have a “good eye” or a good sense of direction of where to shoot photos. Imagination and creativity are key roles also with being a good photographer.
5) What is the employer outlook? The employer outlook is that the person they want to hire has to have a education in photography, have a college degree in photography, and and maybe a technical proficiency.
6) How much does a photographer make? To make good money being a photographer your pictures have to be good. Self employed photographers make less money than the photographers that shoot for big named companies because they buy their own equipment and spend money on fixing and maintaining their cameras and lenses. In 2008 the average salary for a photographer was 29,440. The middle 50 percent made between $20,620 to $43,530. The lowest 10% made $16,920.
7) What occupation use people with the same artistic talent and abilities? Different occupations that use the same artistic abilities are landscaping, architecture, graphic designers, and news analysts. There are many different jobs you can do with your good eye abilities and creativity and they range from source to source.
